Thanks, Katie. The filling of this cake has all the flavors I love in one cake: walnuts, almonds, cinammon, raisins, nutmeg... Keep'em coming!

Fernanda, I'm glad the recipe brought back fond memories for you. Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Good luck with the recipe, Monica. I hope you and your friends enjoy the cake.

Hey Rebecca, do you happen to have a recipe for masas (masitas) secas that you like? I'm having some friends over for coffee and pastries over this weekend and was wondering... I don't want to make cookies and they had alfajores de maizena already. Thanks for your Uruguayan reader in New Jersey!!!

This cake looks delish!!! I already know what I'm going to bake this weekend. Thanks, ladies (Rebecca and Katie) for sharing this recipe... :-)

Hi Rebecca!

I loooooved seeing the torta de ochenta golpes, my grandmother use to make it when I was little (I lived in Argentina for the first 25 years of my life). Do you make cakes for weddings? I am looking for someone who can make my wedding cake with dulce de leche inside.... Any ideas?
Thanks!

Fernanda

Ana, I was definitely worried about the mom factor! I sweating bullets when he took that first bite. :)

That looks amazing! And it was very brave of you to take on a momcake!

If this tastes like it looks , it would be great ...

Thanks, Leigh! And a big thank you to Rebecca for extending the invitation to do the guest post.

This looks amazing! I'll have to try it.
